About Machineart_Moto
Machineart's history is in new product design & development and our specialized products for BMW's are designed to solve functional problems in a beautiful way.
I ride an R1200GS and use my own experiences as well as input from other adventure bike riders to help define bike and rider protection problems worthy of solving.
Whatever the product, it will be innovative, use performance materials, be well made, and look great in the process. Design is what we have to sell.

Machineart_Moto designs and produces specialized products for BMWs to protect the bike and its rider - function with flair. I refer to the line as having "a design edge".
As much as we riders try to justify the purchase of any accessory rationally, it is always influenced by how it looks on and off the bike. MaMo evolved from Machineart
Industrial Design, which continues to design and develop products for other industries, applying that expertise to the design of motorcycle products. I've been a BMW rider
all my life and know, like any customer, that good design always enhances the function and pleasure of buying and using any product.

For example, the X-Head cylinder guards for both '05~09 and
'10~12 models cover 80% of the face of the cylinder head - that's wider than OEM and other aftermarket guards -
to protect, not only the bottom front initial impact area in a drop, but also the upper part of the cylinder head. Even in a driveway drop, the inertia of a fall will cause
a bike to roll briefly onto the face of the cylinder before it settles down on its bottom edge. X-Heads cover more area, look modern and are the only ones that look appropriate
on RT and R models. For street bikes X-Heads are sufficient. For GS off-road riding, X-Heads make an excellent pair with crash bars to protect the rear side of the cylinder
heads that crash bars cannot cover.

Our popular MudSling™ rear fender for the R1200GS,
F800/650GS, and R1200R,
fitting in between the rear tire and suspension, protects the shock and surrounding parts from
stone abrasion, mud and tar accumulation, and reduces maintenance. It mounts easily with two screws in five minutes to existing locations on the frame.

The patent pending Avant front fender extension design provides the unique benefit of mounting without
the need to drill holes in the fender, unlike all other fender extensions. Not only is it simpler to install with three grip clamps and black coated screws, it looks beautifully
integrated with the stock fender texture and is transferable to another bike without leaving disfiguring holes behind, a benefit for resale value. It' shaped with characteristic
flared wings that widen the splash coverage area without looking wide - another example of "a design edge".
